Artwork Description
An iron structure on which the textiles made by Silät, Tinku Kamayu, Randeras de El Cercado, Tejedoras de Quilmes, and Teleras de Huilla Catina, the groups of weavers who make up Textiles Semillas, are stretched and held. Sheep wool, chaguar fiber, and cotton. The techniques used are looms, lacing, and lace. The colors are through artisanal dyeing processes using leaves, roots, bark, vegetable peels, and aniline dyes.
